Create the community
you wish existed
where you live.

Learn how to bring people together, facilitate experiences that matter, and grow a culture of connection where you live.

The quiet problem

We have more ways to connect than ever.
So why do so many of us still feel alone?

Connection deepens when we feel safe enough to be ourselves. When we can share what’s alive in us, be received with curiosity, and discover that our presence matters.

We can cultivate those conditions together, through how we gather, listen, and make room for one another.

Belonging is the longing.
Community is the practice.

It's a learnable practice, not a title, and not a gift some people are simply born with.

It starts with hello.

You can be that person

You don't have to wait for community.
You can help create it.

You don't need a large following, a title, or years of facilitation training. You need a handful of people you'd like to know better, and a willingness to go first.

Here's how

A COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

Wisdom isn't transferred.
It's embodied.

The Lab is a community of practice, not a room full of people taking notes. Every person leads a practice for the group: preparing it, offering it, holding it, and hearing how it landed. You learn through your own practice and by taking part in everyone else's.

Cohort size is capped at twelve people, so the group stays a group and not an audience.
We welcome people of all genders and aim for a thoughtful mix of backgrounds and lived experiences.

Is this you?

Who this is for.

This cohort is for you if you:

  • Feel a deep longing to create meaningful connection and belonging.

  • Want to learn how to design and lead transformative gatherings.

  • Are ready to step into leadership as a community creator.

  • Desire a supportive, like-minded group to grow with.

  • Seek practical tools and soulful practices to build culture.

If you're tired of surface-level connection and ready to build something real,
this is your invitation.

IN-PERSON IMMERSIONS

Begin and return
in the mountains.

Two three-night immersions in Colorado bookend our time together. Step out of your everyday rhythm and into shared life: real conversations, group practices, and space to get to know one another face to face.

January 7-10, 2027

The opening / Three nights

Arrive as yourself. Begin as a group.

Practice being seen, listening with curiosity, and creating the conditions for trust. We begin building the kind of connection we want to bring into our communities.

April 8-11, 2027

The closing / Three nights

Return, reflect, and carry it home.

Come back together to notice what has changed, deepen what you've practiced, and explore how the relationships and community you're creating can continue beyond the Lab.

Shared meals, mountain outings, and the unhurried hours in between are part of the immersion too.

WEEKLY GROUP COHORT CALLS

A weekly rhythm.
A shared practice.

12 weekly two-hour group calls, one every Monday, are where the practices we're exploring come alive. Vulnerability, communication, conflict, facilitation: each week we take one up and work with it on real material, not slides.

The same call holds the group itself. We check in, notice what's alive, make decisions together, and mark what's worth marking. It's how twelve people stay a group between the mountains.

ONE-ON-ONE COACHING

Your experience matters.
Let's make room for it.

Six 45-minute individual coaching calls, two each month, give you dedicated space to look honestly at what's happening in your journey. You don't have to figure it all out on your own.

Flexible scheduling

Bring your intentions, questions, and the moments that feel challenging. Together, we'll explore what you're noticing in yourself and in your relationships, and what you want to try next.

Whether you're finding the courage to invite people in, navigating a difficult conversation, or making sense of an emotional experience, the coaching meets you where you are.

Support for the person
bringing people together.

Inside the cohort

What we'll share in this time together.

Everything here was learned the hard way, in real rooms, and refined across years of gatherings that worked and a few that didn't.

You finish with a tools, practices, and experiences.

Topics we will cover

The power of vulnerability

Recognizing drama

Communication strategies that work

Conflict resolution

Emotional body awareness + practices

What you leave with

By the end of this lab,
you will learn to...

  • Hold a gathering people want to come to

Open and close a room with care, say plainly what you're offering, and let a quiet moment do its work instead of rushing to fill it.

  • Invite people in, including the ones who are harder to reach

Ask clearly, follow up without pressure, and make room for people who don't already look like your usual crowd.

  • Stay present when things get uncomfortable

Notice drama early, hear what a conflict is actually asking for, and keep a group honest without taking it over.

  • Read a group and know what it needs next

See who has gone quiet, who is carrying the room, and when the moment calls for a question, a break, or a practice.

  • Lead a practice for people other than yourself

Prepare it, offer it, hold it, and hear how it landed with the people in front of you.

  • Carry it home as a living thing

Leave with gatherings you've already held, a small group that knows you, and a sense of what happens next where you live.

I'm Juicy, founder of Actualize Earth. My path into community building began with a longing to connect.

At 12, I was thinking about suicide. Depression stayed with me for much of the next decade. Then, while living by myself in the middle of nowhere, I had a moment of waking up to my life. I began to see how much I wanted connection, and how long I had been putting off learning how to create it.

So I started learning. I practiced reaching out, opening up, and letting people know me more honestly. I learned that vulnerability can feel frightening, especially when belonging matters so much. I also found that it can be the beginning of authentic connection: a chance for someone else to meet the person who is really there.

In 2014, I moved to Boulder, Colorado, carrying a vision of what community could look like and a strong impulse to build technology that could help people meaningfully connect. Boulder became my living laboratory. Over the past decade, I've brought people together through gatherings and shared practices, studied what helps relationships grow, and learned from intentional communities about what holds groups together when things get hard. Some experiments worked beautifully. Others taught me just as much.

Balance is an orienting philosophy in my life. I'm a semi-pro racquetball player, an ecstatic dancer, a slackliner, a poi spinner, and a fire performer. I also love mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, sand volleyball, and being in the water. Physical exploration helps me feel grounded and alive. It's an important part of how I care for my mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing, and it reminds me to make room for play alongside the deeper work of growth.

I'm an engineer who builds tools for connection, but the most meaningful thing I can offer you in this lab is what I've learned alongside real people, in real rooms. We'll practice inviting people in, creating welcoming spaces, navigating honest moments, and helping gatherings grow into communities people want to return to. I'll help you find your own unique way of doing that, so what you create feels true to you and to the place you call home.

How community grows

From one gathering to a local ecosystem.

Not through scale for its own sake. Through relationships that create the conditions for more relationships.

One person begins

One gathering

People return

New facilitators emerge

A local ecosystem grows

This is where Actualize becomes powerful.

The enabling layer

Technology should support community.
Not replace it.

As your community grows, Actualize gives it a digital home, not as a substitute for belonging but as a way to help it continue.

The technology isn't the community.
The people are.

01

Show up again

Discover gatherings, RSVP, and stay connected to what is happening nearby.

02

Know who's here

Discover the people, facilitators, services, and possibilities in your community.

03

Keep relationships growing

Continue conversations and find shared interests beyond a single gathering.

04

Sustain the work

Make ticketing, payments, communication, and organizing feel easier.

A wider possibility

What if belonging could be cultivated anywhere?

Cities, suburbs, small towns. Some places already have thriving communities; others may be starting almost from scratch. Each person only needs enough support to begin.

One gathering becomes another. Relationships become community. Community creates possibility.

Built from real community

Boulder has been our living laboratory.

Actualize didn't begin as a theoretical social network. It emerged from years of real gatherings, relationships, services, experiments, and community building in Boulder, Colorado.

We aren't trying to copy Boulder everywhere. We're asking how what we've learned can help people discover what meaningful community looks like where they live.

5,000+

people in Boulder are on the Actualize app, finding and joining gatherings near them.

A beginning, not a blueprint

Maybe your community
starts with you.

You don't need thousands of people. You don't need permission. You need a few humans, a reason to gather, and enough support to take the first step.

If something in you said yes to this, tell us where you live and what you'd love to build. The next step is a short application and a conversation.
